One cat that I didn't mention here is Troy. The reason is that Troy is a cat that I found on a sidewalk of the shop near my house. At first I just fed him with Whiskas pet food when I noticed his immobility. Then, in my next trip to the shop, I saw that he was still at the same spot. I noticed a wound on his left hind leg so deep that his white bone was visible. I couldn't bear to leave him and this time I brought him to the clinic. After two overnight stays, I brought him back home. The biggest challenge for me was to change his wound dressing as he fought a lot. He was really thin that he hardly weighed a kilo. Lucky for me that after the second appointment, I didn't have to dress the wound again as his leg seemed to swell. Bad news, he was diagnosed with Sporotrichosis, an illness which is not only deadly but also infectious to other cats and human beings. I was so devastated that I cried hard. But I consoled myself that this is just a test and it'd pass. The only good news was that it was detected early.
So, I had to give him the pill once in two days but I have to avoid myself from being scratched. Of course he didn't like the pill and tried hard to resist by attempting to scratch and bite me. I was so fortunate that I've had years of experience with cats so I could expect his every move which prevented the scratches.
Wound on his leg - now healed
When he was getting better, I brought him to the clinic for neutering and a month after that, for vaccination. Now, he's fully healed but his weight keeps on increasing that he's currently a 6 kilo cat.
Troy - now
