Cassie, a Maine Coon girl who also loves playing hide and seek with Chewie.
When I first got her, she was so silent. Her figure was quite ok. But she refused to play and liked to keep to herself. Even if there were toys in front of her, she'd just look at them. At first, I thought she was sad to have to be away from her house. But as time passed, she started to show me what's wrong with her. After two weeks, she started to show signs of diarrhea. At first, it was a mild one. After I brought her to a vet, her condition seemed to worsen. Then I brought her to the vet that I frequently go to and the reason why I didn't bring her to this vet at first was that on the day that she began to get diarrhea, this vet was not around. She was given some syrup to ease the diarrhea. At that time, she was so thin and weighed just 300 grams. She didn't seem to improve but at least, she gained her weight back after she was fed with Hill's ID wet food.

In the first few weeks, while she was eating, the poop dropped. It's as if that the food came in and out at the same time and never stayed. However, the good news was that after a few weeks I brought her back and she gained twice her last body weight. I was relieved that I thought it was over.
But, her diarrhea didn't show any signs of stopping. Until one day, I noticed that she seemed to be shedding a lot. I also started to see abnormalities on some parts of her body. The surface of the skin appeared to be hard. I brought her again to the clinic and the vet told me that she was infected by a kind of fungus as a result of being an outdoor cat. Although I had never let her out, I realised that the problem must have emerged in her previous life. So, the vet suggested bathing for her once a week with a specially formulated shampoo to treat fungus.
She started to improve a lot. She became active and played non-stop. Finally.
